Frank figured out today that I need a total of 76 window boxes to completely line the decks, both lower and upper. We’ve got all the railings built to hold them, so it’s not like I could quit now! Last year, I think I only had about 50, because the railing wasn’t all done. But

The snow is basically gone from the yard proper. About half of the back lawn (over the septic field) is still covered with snow, but that’s all in shade, so it makes sense. I took a ton of pictures today. The snow has just about gone, and we went walking outside today with the kitties. First time, really, that we can be outside without sweaters. (I’m going to have to figure out how to break this page into sections, or eventually it won’t load from too many pictures.

The future veggie garden patch has really cleared up quite a bit. We got out there today and did a lot more brush clearing. What a big difference a week makes. Frank didn’t actually cut any more trees down, I don’t think, but we spent all of our time just clearing the branches from

I put the spring flag out today, no matter what it looks like outside! I also ordered a bunch of plugs from Jolly Farmer. I’m just too late on much of the seed starting, so I’m going to cheat and buy 8 trays from the Jollies. The seeds I did start are coming along nicely. It’s so nice to go play in them when it looks so winter like outside still. The snow is melting, but we are still snow-covered, really. I’m so ready for spring!
