Garden Tour Invitation
Posted: April 30th, 2002 by Lisa
I got a call from our town garden club person, and our garden’s been selected for the garden tour this year. Yay! I’m nervous but excited. She told me that refreshments are usually provided by the host, which I hadn’t known, so now I’m wondering just what I can do. I’ll be weeding like a fool from now until June 29th, trying to get everything just perfect out there.

Freaking snow

We worked outside in the garden all day. Yay! Spring is finally here. I am absolutely ignoring the stupid weather forecast that says the rain tomorrow might mix with snow. Screw that. My window boxes in the basement are so ready to come outside already, and all of the perennials that I got are ready too.

Spring Clean Up
Posted: April 6th, 2002 by Lisa
The weather is finally nice enough to get out there and get started on the spring chores. First up, I’m absolutely that the entire lawn needs to be raked before anything can be applied to the lawn. It looks like we left too much cut grass on it too late in the season, or it
