I’m home from the hospital. Thanks for all the good vibes. It went as well as could be expected. I dreamt during the operation and the night before that she had opened me up and found absolutely nothing wrong and was mad at me for wasting her time. She said there was a serious divot between 1:00 and 2:00 which she was able to repair. The shoulder was also out of the socket, which explains why I was in so much pain this week.  She inserted several pins in “strategic locations” to keep it more stable in the socket.

They say I informed everyone in the recovery room who asked how I was doing that it wasn’t as bad as chasing pigs. True enough.

I wonder how long it will be before I can lift water buckets for the pigs. I fear Frank has to be able to work from home until then.
