About the banner

The banner is a slice of a photograph that Frank took one evening, after we’d worked ourselves to exhaustion running the sawmill. We were resting in the gazebo, and the light of the early evening was just about perfect.
I wrote about that day, here.
I saw a contest in People, Places, Plants, a wonderful magazine that is focused on gardening in New England. I submitted the photograph in the “places” contest, and we won.
