The Marlow Garden Tour

We were up very early this morning, getting ready for the Garden Tour, and I made a list of the stuff I thought had to be done. We even finished it all in time to go see the houses on the tour before ours, which was surprising. The pond was in fine form, with water

Final push before the tour

Can you tell we just fertilized the grass? No matter which direction Frank walks with the spreader, we see lines and missed spots. And he tries to be so careful! I’m spent much of this weekend out in the garden, trying to finalize stuff. I’ve got to be in DC next week, and the garden tour is next Saturday, so this is it, down to the wire. Garden Tour Invitation

I got a call from our town garden club person, and our garden’s been selected for the garden tour this year. Yay! I’m nervous but excited. She told me that refreshments are usually provided by the host, which I hadn’t known, so now I’m wondering just what I can do. I’ll be weeding like a fool from now until June 29th, trying to get everything just perfect out there.
