The very first mushroom actually came up yesterday, but I hoped it would get bigger, so I didn’t pick it. It didn’t. It’s one of the Hypsizygus ulmarius that we got from Fungi Perfecti. Stamets calls it the elm oyster mushroom, and it does taste like an oyster mushroom.
We planted these guys late enough that getting mushrooms this year was iffy. We’re hoping for many more if frost holds off.
