As much as we miss Bjarki, and we all miss Bjarki, I do NOT miss having a roaming dog. Bjarki-boy was famous and infamous for his roaming, and if it wasn’t for very understanding and helpful neighbors, we would have lost him much sooner than we did.
So instead, I think I’m going to stick with having all girls. I didn’t say “just girls”, because I think my girls are awesome. They are also fierce. The Pyrs really are fierce, the Icies are sort of ridiculous with how so very fierce they are, and yet aren’t.
They have it all figured out, though. The Pyrs patrol the back of the house, the side of the mountain where the bears and other wildlife are coming down for a chicken dinner.
The Icies get the front, from a fenced little area that is holding them, and I am really enjoying a fence that holds Icies, let me tell you.
Gaela is going to be bred on her next heat, sometime early summer or late spring, and I am looking around for a suitable boy.
We will have gentlemen callers or go on hot sexy vacations, I’ve decided.
What happened to Bjarki?
Bjarki died of leptospirosis in July. Another disease that we didn’t used to have up here.
I’m so sorry to hear that. I loved reading all about the dogs, I’ve been away from reading track for a while. 🙁
